  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 packages ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon cracked red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil (divided)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Sesame seeds (garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce and cornstarch until smooth. Add beef broth, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes; set aside.
  2. Cook ramen noodles in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until tender; drain and rinse under cold water. Toss with sesame oil.
  3. In a nonstick skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper; cook until browned (about 5 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, add broccoli with water; cover and steam for 2 minutes.
  5. Return steak to the skillet along with cooked ramen noodles. Pour in the sauce; stir to combine and heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot garnished with sesame seeds.
