  • ¾ cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 5 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, mix eggs, vanilla extract, milk, and melted butter until combined.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently.
  5. Prepare the cinnamon swirl mixture by combining softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  6. Layer half of the cake batter in the baking dish, dollop with cinnamon mixture, swirl gently with a knife, then add remaining batter on top.
  7. Bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While baking, mix powdered sugar with milk and vanilla for icing; drizzle over warm cake after cooling slightly.
