  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ranch dressing by whisking together mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, parsley, salt, and pepper. Adjust consistency with milk if needed.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal (if using), garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper for coating. In another bowl, whisk eggs with milk.
  3. Dip each mushroom slice in the egg mixture followed by dredging it in the flour mixture. Allow resting for 5 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry mushrooms in batches for about 2–3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve warm alongside chilled ranch dressing.
