Ingredients

Scale
  • 15.25 ounces white cake mix
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons peppermint extract
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • green gel food coloring
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • red heart-shaped sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, butter, and eggs using a hand-held mixer until well-blended.
  3. Mix in peppermint extract and enough green food coloring to achieve your desired shade.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and cornstarch; set aside.
  5. Use a cookie scoop to portion out dough. Roll each ball in the powdered sugar mixture before placing them on the baking sheet about an inch apart.

  7. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
