  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (for glaze)
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Beat together softened butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold in flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  7. Allow brownies to cool completely before glazing.
  8. Mix powdered sugar, lemon juice, and zest for the glaze; spread it evenly over cooled brownies. Chill briefly before slicing.
