  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and dark brown sugar until creamy.
  3. Add the egg and mix well; then incorporate the maple syrup, vanilla extract, and maple extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  5. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least two hours.
