  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 8 oz strawberries
  • ¼ cup vanilla bean paste
  • 3 cups unsalted butter
  • 6 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three round cake pans.
  2. For the chocolate layer, melt bittersweet chocolate with hot coffee. Mix dry ingredients in another bowl; combine all ingredients until smooth. Bake for 25 minutes.
  3. Repeat step 2 for the strawberry layer using strawberries instead of chocolate.
  4. For the vanilla bean layer, mix together ingredients as above.
  5. Once cooled, stack layers with frosting between each and frost the entire cake.
  6. Decorate as desired.
