  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups fresh cheese tortellini
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, adjust to taste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. In a large pot, melt butter over medium-high heat and cook the chicken until browned (about 6–8 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt more butter, sauté minced garlic until fragrant (30 seconds), then add crushed red pepper flakes.
  3. Pour in chicken broth while scraping the bottom of the pot. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add tortellini and cook for 4–6 minutes until tender.
  5. Return chicken to the pot, stir in Parmesan until melted, and let it simmer for another 2–3 minutes before serving.
