Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • ½ cup pure honey
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (plus additional for the cheese sauce)
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken dry, seasoning both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt ¼ cup of butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, then stir in the honey until smooth.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken in a baking dish and pour half of the honey glaze over it. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. While the chicken is baking, boil salted water in a large pot and cook elbow macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  5. In another pot over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter for the cheese sauce. Stir in flour to create a roux, then gradually whisk in milk until thickened. Add cheddar cheese until melted and fully combined.
  6. Serve the baked chicken drizzled with the remaining glaze alongside creamy mac and cheese.
