  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp poultry seasoning
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3-4 cups cubed sturdy bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and combine onions, carrots, celery, wild rice, and chicken broth in a baking dish; cover with foil and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  2. For the sauce, melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat; whisk in flour, salt, and poultry seasoning for about a minute before gradually adding milk to create a smooth sauce.
  3. Optional: Melt remaining butter and toss with cubed bread for topping.
